Hey, I'm Lotte! I'm an expert bookkeeper who has supported over 60 female entrepreneurs with their bookkeeping needs, allowing them to focus on running their business.

What makes my approach unique? I see myself as joining your team and being there to really support you. This may look like demystifying accounting words or reports, ensuring you're always in the loop, working with your accountant and/or managers as needed, and creating a custom and tailored plan that works for you and your business.

I run my business with transparency and the pricing should reflect that too. My pricing is based on the type and amount of work I do monthly, not how big your company is or how much it brings in. If you ever have any questions, please ask and I'd be happy to explain the calculations.

Below you will learn more about my clean-up bookkeeping process and the pricing

What is Clean-Up Bookkeeping

Clean-up bookkeeping refers to the process of sorting through, correcting, and systematizing a company's financial records that may have been neglected, mismanaged, or inconsistently maintained over a period of time. It involves rectifying discrepancies, ensuring transactions are correctly categorized, and reconciling account balances. The objective is to bring all financial data up-to-date and providing a clear and accurate snapshot of the business's financial health. It's a crucial step before transitioning to regular monthly bookkeeping or when preparing for tax season or financial reviews.

Who is it for

Clean-up bookkeeping is tailored for businesses that may have fallen behind on their current or prior year's financial record-keeping. Whether minimal work has been done or there have been inaccuracies in the existing records, this service ensures that everything is set right. Engaging in a clean-up is especially vital to ensure you're well-prepared and compliant for tax season, presenting an accurate reflection of your financial landscape.

responsibilities for the client:

  • Provide complete and accurate financial documents in a timely manner.
  • Be responsive to the bookkeeper's requests for additional information or clarifications.
  • Review cleaned-up records carefully, asking questions or seeking clarifications where needed.
  • Consider implementing any best practices or systems recommended by the bookkeeper to maintain organized records in the future.

clean-ups are only offered to first-time clients

Clean-Ups are done on a first come-first serve basis. Spots go quickly at the end and the beginning of each year. To ensure your clean-up is manageable in the needed turn around time, please reach out to be put on the list.

Please note:

How clean-up bookkeeping works

initial assessment & collection

I will review the current state of the financial records to understand the extent of the clean-up needed. We will go through a checklist together to ensure I have everything I need to get started.

hands-free bookkeeping

You leave the number-crunching to me - I'll take care of all the bookkeeping tasks as discussed in the initial assessment.  You can focus on what you do best - growing your business.

precise reconciliation

Reconciliation is our way of ensuring there's perfect alignment between our records in the accounting software and your actual bank statements, loans, and other accounts. Once I've got all the necessary details from you, I'll thoroughly reconcile each account.

report review

Upon reconciliation, you'll receive detailed monthly financial report, including the Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and General Ledger that we will want to review to ensure everything is categorized as it needs to be and no transactions were overlooked.

corrections & final reports

Any discrepancies, misclassifications, or overlooked transactions are corrected and final reports of your Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and General Ledger are sent to you.

transaction questions

I'll send any questions related to your transactions or bookkeeping to you in your client portal and you'll get an email or text notification letting you know. If I'm missing statements for any of your accounts, I'll ask you to upload those.

Review & Feedback

Once the clean-up is complete, we can review the updated records together and I can offer insights, recommendations, or best practices moving forward.
